Copy and design are where the revenue actually comes from — but only if they work together. A beautiful template with weak copy doesn't convert. Sharp copy in a poorly rendered email doesn't either. We do both in-house so neither gets compromised.
Copy
Every email we write starts with a brief: who is receiving this, what do we want them to do, and what's the one thing they need to believe to do it?
From there:
- Subject lines — written to earn the open, not trick it. We test variations where volume supports it.
- Preview text — the second subject line most brands ignore. We write it.
- Body copy — written in the brand's voice, at the right reading level for the audience. Short paragraphs, clear hierarchy, one primary action per email.
- CTAs — specific and action-oriented. "Shop the collection" says more than "Click here."
We don't use templates or AI generation. Every email is written from scratch for the specific audience and objective.
Design
Mobile-first. At least 60% of your subscribers are reading on a phone — we design for that first.
We build in your brand's visual language: typography, colour, imagery style, spacing. We keep templates clean and fast-loading. We make the hierarchy obvious — the reader shouldn't have to work to find the main point or the CTA.
Every template is tested across Gmail, Apple Mail, and Outlook before it goes near a live list.
What we don't do
We don't use off-the-shelf template libraries. We don't outsource copy to a freelancer and design to a different one. We don't treat email as a banner ad — words matter, and we take them seriously.

- We start with a voice brief: we read your existing content, your website, and anything you've sent before. Then we write a sample email in your voice before touching any live campaigns. Most clients only need minor adjustments after that.
- Do you use AI to write the copy?
- No. Every email is written by a human who understands what you're selling, who you're selling to, and why someone would buy. AI-generated copy tends to be generic, over-optimistic, and immediately recognisable as such. That's not what converts.
